What Charon's Obol means in its world
Charon's Obol exists for one escape attempt at a time in Hades. It appears in chambers and reward choices, then turns into immediate help at Charon's Well or shop: a boon, healing, a resource or another advantage for the current run.
It is not a permanent wallet. Spending an Obol early can make the next boss safer, while saving it can produce a stronger shop choice later. The decision is part of building around the weapons and boons already found.
