What Septims means in its world
Septims are the coins behind the ordinary business of Tamriel. A tavern bed, a training session, a spell tome and a piece of armor all pull from the same purse, so an adventure can turn into a trade decision as soon as a town is reached.
The name is tied to the Septim dynasty, but game systems vary. Skyrim, Oblivion and earlier entries offer different markets, skill training costs and ways to turn loot into money.
